Accessories for the Fiber Lover

Casey Day-Crosier, Owner

It all started with a want for stitch markers. Not just any stitch markers-pretty beaded stitch markers. I looked all over my local area, searched Etsy, then thought, "Why don't I try to make some?" So I did. Some for me, some for friends, some just to make them.

I had so much fun that it sparked my curiosity as to what else I could make for myself. I have always loved the hand made project bags yet I always found myself wishing they had one feature or another. So I experimented with my sewing machine and a little bit of playful fabric. To my surprise all of my friends and knitting group fell in love and began asking if I would create more!

Tangerine Designs was born!

I am always asked why I named my company Tangerine Designs. The answer: it is named for my favorite song, Tangerine, by my favorite band, Led Zeppelin. You might even recognize my love for Led Zeppelin in my choice of zephead8 for my Instagram handle and in the names of my knitting patterns.

Tangerine Designs is based in my home in St. Peters, MO. I used to cut and sew between CandyLand, My Little Ponies, story time, meals, tantrums, and of course spinning and knitting! Now, I design knitting patterns, sew, design new tools, and create tutorials all while teenagers wish I'd just leave them alone! You can also find me working and teaching at my local yarn shop.
